Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2010 (beta) released.

The most longly awaited Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2010 beta has been relesed to MSDN subscribers and to people who has subscribed and enrolled in beta testing program . Beauty is that it runs on x64 bit operating system machines. So obs all the supporting Sql Server and others including Operating System too has to run on 64 bit.  I started downloading :) wait for my screenshots soon :)

Mozilla and Internet Explorer from Mosaic ?

In 1992 Mosaic evolved with popularizing the world wide web. After few years of invention of Mosaic, Our browsers like IE ,Mozilla resembles fewer characters of Mosaic, esp with GUI. Mosaic Authors later then works for devloping Netscape Navigator :)

Microsoft adds free root certificate authority to Windows

A couple of weeks ago some very interesting Windows news flew by under the radars that I think deserves much more credit than it received, considering how much we rely on the web and the impact this has on making it safer.

In the September 2009 update to the Windows Root Certificate Program, Microsoft has added to the list of trusted root certificate authorities StartCom Ltd, notably its first member who issues amongst others free SSL digital certificates. Read more…

Microsoft Planning 128-Bit Version Of Windows 8

Windows 7is not even out the door yet and rumors are already circulating about the next version of Microsoft’s OS, Windows 8.

According to Microsoft employee Robert Morgan, future iterations of Windows, including Windows 8, could support a 128-bit architecture. Two weeks ago his now defunct LinkedIn profile disclosed that he had been working on “research and development projects including 128-bit architecture compatibility with the Windows 8 kernel and Windows 9 project plan”.
